Volunteers are an integral part of swimming. From swim lessons to swim meets and everything in between, volunteering is a great opportunity to share your child’s experience, have fun, meet new friends and make a valuable contribution. Many companies provide volunteer grants to eligible nonprofits based on hours volunteered by employees and retirees. Just Swim, Inc is a registered 501(c)(3) non profit corporation and therefore volunteer hours logged with Just Swim are eligible for employee volunteer grant programs. Benefits vary depending on the company. To find out if your company has a Volunteer Grant Program, reach out to your Human Resources department.

Bank of America: This major financial institution, with a large presence in Charlotte, offers a volunteer grant program for both current employees and retirees.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina: The company has a matching gift program that includes donations for volunteering to a wide range of nonprofits.
Duke Energy: The Duke Energy Foundation through it's In Action program provides grants for a variety of focus areas in the communities it serves.
Wells Fargo: The bank offers local grants focused on financial health, housing affordability, and environmental sustainability to nonprofits in areas where it has a community presence.
Microsoft: The software company has a prominent employee giving program. It provides volunteer grants that donate $25 per hour of volunteering, with no minimum hour requirement.
Verizon: The telecommunications company offers volunteer grants for eligible employees and retirees who volunteer at least 50 hours a year.
Aetna: A CVS company, this healthcare company offers a volunteer grant of $300 for every 20 hours an employee volunteers.
Ally: Ally Financial, which is headquartered in Charlotte, is known to have volunteer and giving programs.
Chevron: For employees who volunteer at least 20 hours per year, Chevron provides a $500 volunteer grant, up to two per employee annually.
Volunteer - Grant Program
A number of companies with a presence in Charlotte, NC offer volunteer grant matching programs, including Bank of America, Duke Energy, Wells Fargo, and Microsoft. Many of these programs are managed through platforms like Benevity, making it easy for employees to log their hours and request grants.
